Christ in You
Dears in Christ, We wish you a blessed new year from God’s Love Missions. The world looks forward with a renewed hope this year. We greet each other with words of love and cheer.
Today, this is the word that God would like you to remember. “To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” – Colossians 1:27
The good news of Jesus Christ has been preached throughout the ages. At one time the churches established themselves as the sole authority. Which was followed by a protest wherein the sole authority was established in scriptures. This chasm expanded, many routes to preach the good news of Christ was endeavored.
The gospel is a liberating force. It is a supernatural power in your life, the kind of power that raised Christ from the dead. The Gospel never changes, His word remains from forever to forever, and there is no equal.
I would like to bring out 2 aspects of the promise of Christ in us.
- “…And in Christ you have been brought to fullness” Colossians 2:10
It is easy for us to look into our areas of lack and let it cloud us and detract us from the victory of cross. Never forget that we have been brought to fullness. I request you to write Colossians 2:10 and pronounce it on the areas of your lack, be it your sins or heartbreak or disease. Whenever your thoughts wander off to dwell on your insecurities, boldly confess Colossians 2:10.
He forgave us all our sins, having canceled the charge of our legal indebtedness, which stood against us and condemned us; he has taken it away, nailing it to the cross.
If we are made right with God through the cross, how much more can God make us right with people? If our spiritual nature were cleansed of their legal indebtedness how much more our physical nature would be cleansed.
- “Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your heart on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things.”
Too many times, the concerns of the “today” make us forget about the concerns of the “Eternity.” This New Year set spiritual goals. Be bold in your spiritual ambitions, because the Spirit in you from God is all too able to achieve the desires you have for Christ in Christ. Let us go boldly to the throne of Grace. Ephesians 2:18 “For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit.”
I think this is one of the most powerful words ever written. We have access to the Father through Christ by Holy Spirit!
Dears, the journey ahead is long, it is fraught with trials and shadows, we can either choose to be worried and tossed by every wave of news we read and the things we see, Or we can allow ourselves to be rooted with the knowledge that Christ is in us. Choose.
May His blessings dwell in your house.
