To God be the Glory from the sky, from the depth
Praise be to our God the Father; God the Son; and God the Holy Spirit.
Greetings to you all, my dearly beloveds in Jesus Christ our Lord
Our Jesus’ Love ceaselessly yearns to guide and lead us in Truth than condemning and pushing us aside. We all stumble in many ways. So true it is! But it is the good will of the Lord that we might regain God’s image through Him, the Christ.
Stumbling when as God’s servants:
Jesus said, “If a kingdom is divided against itself, that kingdom cannot stand” – Mark 3:24
The calling of God is not the same to all, His dear children. And the class in which He has put us in is not the same. Some are kept in high class where fame, appreciation, position, highly paid job and all comes; whereas the servants who are kept in the menial class gets nothing which are mentioned above.
Can we argue with our God for choosing us to be in menial state and our friends or acquaintances to be in extraordinarily high class? Certainly not!
Here is where many children of God stumble and fall, telling, “I’m not that special to God as my friend”,”I’m not that worthy before God than my colleague”.
It’s not like that!
As servants of God, our calling is to be with Him and to build the kingdom, “He appointed twelve designating them apostles that they might be with Him and that He might send them out to preach and to have authority to drive out demons” – Mark 3:14, 15 and not to gain anything for self. Sin originated in self-seeking lucifer. But when we see in the life of Jesus, self did not appear. He, when in this world, had not sat as King of Israel on David’s throne but completely emptied Himself, living a very poor life and from this lowly state He glorified God the Father saying,
“I have glorified Thee on the earth: I have finished the work which Thou gavest me to do” – John 17:4
Thus Christ being ‘The Supreme Commander of Heaven; The Lord of lords; The Glorious King of universe; The Son of The Great Jehovah’ had set an example for mankind, so that we when in high class or menial state can have the same meekness and lowliness of mind which Christ had.
“The Lord taketh pleasure in His people: He will beautify the meek with salvation” – Psalm 149:4
We are not to take pride when we are kept in sky; not to envy when we are put in depth.
God expects us to give glory to Him when He puts us in high class like King David, and when David said,
“LORD, my heart is not haughty, nor my eyes lofty. Neither do I concern myself with great matters nor with things too profound for me. Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul, like a weaned child with his mother; like a weaned child is my soul within me” – Psalm 131:1, 2
And He expects us to give glory to Him when we are put in low class like The King JESUS CHRIST,
But Christ, “being in the form of God, counted it not a thing to be grasped to be on equality with God, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men”
– Philippians 2:6, 7
It is God the Father who gave this earthly throne to a man David but not to The Son of Man, Jesus Christ for our sake so that we might learn His meekness and be conformed to His image.
Remember! When we envy or take pride, it is our relationship with God and the kingdom of God which is getting collapsed on our side and there the devil starts winning over us.
“For where envy and self-seeking exists, confusion and every evil thing are there” – James 3:16
Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for Your unfailing Love for me. I’m a sinner, I give myself and my self in to Your moulding hands. Thank You for not giving up on me. In Jesus’ the Magnificent Name I pray. Amen.
