2015 Beginning of God’s Jealousy

Haggai 2:3-7

“3. Who is left among you that saw this house in her first glory? And how do you see it now? Is it not in your eyes in comparison of it as nothing?

4. Yet now be strong O Zerubbabel, saith the Lord; and be strong O Joshua son of Josedech, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land, saith the Lord, and work: for I am with you, saith the Lord of hosts:

5. According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so my Spirit remaineth among you: fear you not.

6. For thus saith the Lord of hosts; Yet once, it is a little while, and I will shake the heavens, and the earth, and the sea, and the dry land;

7. And I will shake all nations, and the desire of all nations shall come: and I will fill this house with glory, saith the Lord of hosts “

Here we see Haggai the prophet say in the seventh verse that God will shake all nations and in the sixth verse that God will shake the heavens, the earth, the sea and the dry land.

We also see in the book of acts chapter 2, when peter stood boldly against the mocking men and began preaching to them the Saviour Jesus Christ and the things that shall come to pass in the last days, we see in acts chapter 2 and verse 19 that God will show wonders in the heaven above and signs in the earth beneath and signs in the sun and moon before the notable day of the Lord comes. This was actually prophesied by the great prophet Joel in the book of Joel chapter 2 and verse 30 and 31. Peter was telling the people that the sign they see now is the fulfilment of the prophecy of the last days before the return of the Lord.

If peter filled in the Holy Ghost says that his days were the last days of the world, where are we living now after 2000 years, can we call it the last seconds? My dearest brother and sister, as we await the coming, the return of the Almighty Lord in power and great glory we are going to be given certain signs in the heavens and the earth. Let us see the very own words from the mouth of the Lord Jesus Himself that He prophesied when He was on earth about His coming back in glory.

Turn with me to Luke chapter 21:25,26 where the Lord Jesus Himself says that there will be signs in the sun and in the moon, in the stars and the earth and He ends saying “the powers of heaven will be shaken”. We can read this also in Mathew chapter 24 verse 29 that just before the Son of man appears in power and great glory we are going to see the powers of heaven being shaken.

Why is the Lord going to do this? Why are there going to be signs in heaven and earth and why is the Lord going to shake the powers of heaven?

For His people to know that He is going to come back with power and great glory. So you and I will work more hard to save souls from perishing. Even after these signs come to pass, still the bible records that some people on earth will be like men who were left out of the ark during the days of Noah. If your eyes and ears are not open to see and hear, you will be one of those outside the ark.

You should know that the flood might come anytime, you should know that the Lord might return anytime and be watchful to enter into glory. Let us await the shaking of heavens and the earth from this year on.
