September Promise & Message

6 Seek the Lord while He may be found,

Call upon Him while He is near.

7 Let the wicked forsake His way,

And the unrighteous man His thoughts;

Let him return to the Lord,

And He will have mercy on him;

And to our God,

For He will abundantly pardon. (Isaiah 55:6-7)

God is best revealed through the life of the Lord Jesus, and the Lord Jesus is best revealed only by His Holy Spirit.

In verse 6 & 7, seek ‘while’ He may be found and call ‘while’ He is near. The word ‘while’ means that there are certain times where is found. The best place to constantly find God is to walk with Him in His divine Will for you.

The blessing of walking in God’s will is to find the Holy Spirit in every step of that plan. God longs for you to be filled with His Holy Spirit so He has kept this great treasure inside every little step of the will He has for you. So the more you walk according to His plans, the more you will find and be filled with the Holy Spirit.

The more you are filled by the Holy Spirit, the more you will know the Lord Jesus because the Holy Spirit will ultimately lead you to the Lord Jesus. (John 16:13)

Now, what does the Lord Jesus say about the will of the Father?

Jesus said in John 4:34 “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to finish His work.”

Again, Jesus said in Mathew 12:50, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.”

And Jesus said in Mathew 12:50, “Anyone who does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother!”

And Jesus prayed and taught in Mathew 6:10, “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”

And finally, Jesus won when He surrendered and prayed, “Yet not My will, but Yours be done.”

Then Jesus said in Luke 9:23, “If anyone wants to come after Me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow Me.

If you follow Christ and if He is your example: “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children; and walk in love, just as Christ also loved you and gave Himself up for us”(Eph 5:1,2). Let us be Christ’s children who will follow His footsteps by walking in the Father’s will.

Finally, the more you encounter the Lord Jesus, the more you will discover God because Jesus Christ is none but God in flesh. (1 Tim 3:16) Best described in NKJV/KJV

God has a plan for our world. He has a plan for every nation. He also has plans for the churches in a nation. He has plans for a family in a church. And yes, HE has a plan for you and for your children who are yet to be born. GOD is a good GOD and a FATHER who lovingly plans the best for you His child. It is His love that ultimately does the planning for you. So, let us never despise the plan of God.

“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the LORD, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11

The main reason God plans, is so you will prosper in everything. God is not only concerned about just one part of your life. John the Apostle said, “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou may prosper and be in health, even as your soul prospers.(3John 2) When your soul prospers, every other aspect of your life will then prosper.

Let us pray:

Father, We repeat our Lord’s words, “Let Your Kingdom come & Your will be done in our lives as it is in Heaven and remove our will and let Your will be done.” In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Isaiah 55:8, 9- “For My thoughts are not your thoughts, Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord. “For as the heavens are higher than the earth, So are My ways higher than your ways, And My thoughts than your thoughts.
