OCTOBER PROMISE MESSAGE

Let’s start October with Praise

Let us read Daniel 2:19-23

This new month, beginning today, Let Daniel’s praise in these verses below become your praise as well.

“19 During the night the mystery was revealed to Daniel in a vision.
Then Daniel praised the God of heaven and said:
20 ‘Praise be to the name of God for ever and ever;
wisdom and power are his.
21 He changes times and seasons;
    he deposes kings and raises up others.
He gives wisdom to the wise
    and knowledge to the discerning.
22 He reveals deep and hidden things;
    he knows what lies in darkness,
    and light dwells with him.
23 I thank and praise you, God of my ancestors:
    you have given me wisdom and power,
you have made known to me what we asked of you,
you have made known to us the dream of the king.’”

I believe that God will bless us with His wisdom and power that those around you will wonder.

First let’s speak about Wisdom

Kings will seek you; CEOs, & Business owners are going to come after you because the Spirit of God in You is the wisdom, He is the only wise God.

You will be at least ten times wiser than your colleagues

While the world, the secular people, who look at us Christians as fools, as they mock us, as much as they look down upon us, God’s time is come for the faithful like Daniel, Shadrack, Meshack & Abednego.

We may look like fools in the eyes of these people who think they are wise, God is choosing the fools to shame the wise – what the Church is going to discover, invent, pioneer will be at least 10 times greater than what others have done and will do.

Never despise wisdom

There are different manifestations of wisdom

• Manifestations of the fruit of the wisdom
• Manifestations of the gift of the word of wisdom
• Manifestations of the Spirit of wisdom

Spirit of Wisdom – Today we’ll look only into the Spirit of Wisdom

The first thing the Spirit of Wisdom does is to helps us to know God better. The more you know God better, you will discover your destiny, your purpose on earth.

Let me show this to you from the scriptures:

¹⁷ I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation, so that you may know him better.  ¹⁸ I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened in order that you may know the hope to which he has called you, the riches of his glorious inheritance in his holy people.

The more we know God, the stronger we become in knowing ourselves and who we are called to be.

• Your calling is unique, and it is divinely created for you – the enemy knows this so well; he tries to tempt you to be someone else. We need wisdom.When the Spirit of wisdom comes upon us – we begin to receive divine strategies
• When Moses laid his hands on Joshua, the Bible records, the Spirit of Wisdom that was on Moses came and rested on Joshua and from that day, Joshua had visitations from God, He heard God directly, every war he fought he received divine strategies for victory.
  • May God give us divine strategies for victory.
• The Lord Jesus Himself was filled with the Spirit of Wisdom as recorded in Isaiah 11
  • If Jesus needed it, we need it and we receive it by faith

But this will attract persecution. People will be jealous, just like how it happened to Dainel.

This is why we need power – to overcome persecutions.

In these end times, we are not only persecuted mentally & physically but we will be attacked spiritually through people practicing witchcraft and other dark deeds.

It’s time when power meets power. Power of light versus the power of darkness

We must prepare. When Moses met Pharoh, God gave Moses a sign to perform…

Staff becomes a living snake… With God nothing is impossible.

Bible says Pharoh’s magicians who were demon worshippers changed their staffs (non-living piece of wood) into a living moving snake with fangs and eyes. Magicians are humans and did the same miracle through evil powers.

Empty words will not keep us safe any longer. If we don’t have real power, we are in danger.

Isaiah 60:2 “See, darkness covers the earth and thick darkness is over the peoples, but the Lord rises upon you and his glory appears over you.”

If we don’t have real power, we are in danger.

These people may not always look like witches and wizards, but they are going to be everywhere. They can come as your teacher, doctor, police, or even call themself a pastor, we must be careful.

If we possess wisdom without power, we are in great danger in these times.

Like the two wings of a bird, we need both wisdom and power to have a sustained victory and to finish the race.

Can these evil people hurt us?

The answer is a big NO, but if we fail to walk with God, if we ignore spending time in His presence, there is every chance of hurt. Only those who abide in Him will produce fruit.

Luke 10:19 Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

What did the Lord advise his disciples before His ascension?

You wait in Jerusalem, until you are endowed with power from on high.

The fruits of a Christian’s life filled with power, endowed and baptised with power will be far greater than someone without power. Receiving the power from on high wasn’t a choice, it wasn’t an option for the apostles, it was a commandment, and it is the same for you and me. We need a fresh touch of power flowing out of our lives if we must reach this generation.

The enemy will be happy if you have power and no wisdom. This is like having a sword but no shield.

The enemy will be happy if you have wisdom and no power. This is like a warrior having only a shield and with no sword to attack.

But he will fight you if you have both wisdom & power because then you become a real threat to his kingdom but a great asset to the Lord’s Kingdom.

And the power that we now have is the resurrection power, greatest than any other power of darkness, but because they think they are more powerful they will try to confront you, but Jesus is going to be honoured. 

The disciples were clothed with this resurrection power and made history. We are history makers too and may God give us this resurrection power.  

Ephesians 1:19-21 ¹⁹ and his incomparably great power for us who believe. That power is the same as the mighty strength ²⁰ he exerted when he raised Christ from the dead and seated him at his right hand in the heavenly realms, ²¹ far above all rule and authority, power and dominion, and every name that is invoked, not only in the present age but also in the one to come.

Let’s pray:

Dear Lord,
Thank you for giving me Your Spirit of Wisdom and power,
Help me to know You more and live as a victor,
Help me to know Your will and prophesy it into every area of my life,
Make me fruitful and bless me to be a blessing,
In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Maintaining what we receive is more important than receiving it. To maintain the Spirit of wisdom and power, we must determine to have a consistent prayer life no matter where we work or study or how busy our schedules are. Daniel maintained his anointing by praying 3 times a day no matter how busy his schedules were.
