Christ Jesus – the alpha

in this is love, not that we have loved God but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 1 John 4:10

The bible says in Revelation 22:13, “I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End.” And in Hebrews 12:2, the bible says, “Jesus the author and finisher of our faith;” It becomes our deepest faith that Jesus Christ is my beginning and my end that whatsoever my life seem to be now is not my end, but my life will change to be a better one. But even in this life of deepest faith, facing the facts, we tend to reach a spot where we think to ourselves, “has God forsaken me?” Our thought doesn’t end there. We sometimes do think that, “I’m not worthy of His love at this point of my life.” And we do forget to look at His goodness or even neglect His goodness with thoughts as, “how can God bless me in such situations of mine?”

Dear children of God, the answer to all the questions you keep conceiving in you is, “give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever. Psalm 136:1”. His love is unchanging. His mercy is never ending. This is best explained in Romans 5:8 “but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” He does not change His mind. Whosoever you may be and whatsoever situations you may be in, the very fact about Christ Jesus is that He is who He is, even till the end of your life. The bible clearly says in Deuteronomy 7:7-8, “the Lord did not set His affection on you and choose you because you were more numerous than other peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples. But it was because the Lord loved you”

Indeed my dear brothers and sisters, in the daily walk of your life, where ever you are broken, whatever mountains you have before you, remember, Jesus Christ is the alpha in your life. Don’t take Him just as ‘the beginning’ and ‘the end’, so that you may live a life as if Jesus had formed you in your mother’s womb (the beginning) and is now waiting to judge you and receive you (the end), No! He is very real in every moment of your life, day in and day out He walks with you. He is so real and passionate in His love towards you, that the very hairs of your head are numbered, and you are the apple of His eye. John 3:36 says, “whoever believes in the Son has eternal life.” Nobody will be denied of His love. For He in Himself is love. His love binds everything in your life together in perfect harmony (Colossians 3:14).

Jesus Christ is not just the beginning. He is your every new beginning. Forget your past, He is here today, for you. For He roars to you now, “behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. Isaiah 43:19”
