It is about Jesus

May 24, 2017

And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon Jesus to hear the word of God, He stood by the lake of Gennesaret, and saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets. And He entered into one of the ships, which was Simon’s, and prayed him that he would thrust out a little from the land. And Jesus sat down, and taught the people out of the ship. Luke 5:1-3.

Jesus comes into the life of Peter. He uses Peter’s boat to preach to the crowd gathered there. In the same way, dear friend, in your life you also had a time, when Jesus had stepped into your life. That is the blessed moment in your life when everyone around you were happy seeing Jesus in your life.

Now when he had left speaking, he said unto Simon, Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net. And when they had this done, they inclosed a great multitude of fishes: and their net brake. Luke 5:4-6.

Peter obeyed the words of Jesus and went out for fishing in the broad day light at which time no fisher men would go fishing because they knew the laws of nature, that the fishes will not come to the surface during the day. What Peter experienced is super natural. It is a miracle. In the same way in your life the Lord Jesus whom you had received, blessed all your endeavors and you had a super natural blessing come upon you in all your ways. Your life had definitely been blessed abundantly. You are a living testimony for everyone in your family and in your church, for how a man will be blessed if he obeys Jesus.

Dear friend, in all the success and blessing that you are holding now, I want to tell you that they are not about your life. Jesus stepped into Peter’s life and it was not about Peter’s life. It was about the kingdom of God. It was about Jesus Himself. In the midst of all your riches and blessings, fall down at Jesus’ knees and ask Him what is that He wants of you.

And Jesus said unto Simon, Fear not; from henceforth thou shalt catch men Luke 5:10

Yes my friend, it is all about Jesus and His kingdom. We are living for Him and Him alone. Let us examine our life today and find out for whom or for what our life is being spent. Get back to Jesus and know your life’s purpose.

for in Him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through Him and for Him. Colossians 1:16
