Walk in Love

March 1, 2017

My dear young friend

God bless you and always know that God loves you no matter what you go through. Be it good times or bad times – God is always with you by your side.

Today let us look at one important verse Galatians 5:22 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love“.

Paul the apostle encourages us in Ephesians 5 to walk in love. “Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children. And walk in love, as Christ loved us“.

So we need to walk in love just as our Father and Lord Jesus did. Let us look at some simple ways we as young children can do and walk in love.

First is to pray for others. Prayer is the first best help you can do to anyone in need. You can pray for a friend in need, pray for your parents, your brothers or sisters, your class teacher or for anybody you know is suffering and needs God’s help.

You may be watching NEWS on TV and you can still pray for any disturbing news you see or hear. You may not know that person but you can walk in love by praying for them. You can pray for the children of your age who have nobody to take care of, for children without food and shelter. In praying for them you actually invite God in their lives and I am sure God will hear your precious prayers and make the people around them to help those in need.

Secondly, pray with people around you. It could be your friend you see at school every day, your parents, your own brothers or sisters. You must take time to hear their sorrows and burdens they are willing to share with you. It could be a life changing moment for them when you listen to them and pray for them. It may be a friend who is not a Christian but it is still good to invite them to join you as you pray to the Lord Jesus. You can use your break times at School to listen to your friend’s needs and also pray with your friend.

You may be young but you can still walk in love as the Lord Jesus did and glorify God’s name.

Praying for you.
