To Praise God is Pleasant and Beautiful
My beloved, shall we praise God once more, for having received only favours from our Lord Jesus Christ. Many times we forget to glorify God (Psalms 50:23). Never cease to glorify Him with your praises.
Some of you may wonder that you too have forgotten to praise God at all times, as you used to. Let your heart not be troubled. Wherever you are, whoever you are, praise God from the bottom of your heart as King David did (Psalms 51:9-11). When the Holy Spirit dwells in us, He will guide us in all truth (John 16:8-13).
Many years ago, I was afflicted with a deadly disease and was in death bed. The disease tormented me very much. I was lying in hospital bed surrounded by my close relatives wondering whether I will ever walk out of my death bed. The doctors could not give any assurance for my survival. Under these circumstances, my mother taught me a short prayer and asked me to repeat it as many times as I could.
I was aged 28 and a mother of two children, the younger one being one year old. Even though I was well attended, many times I have felt the torment of loneliness. In these circumstances, I said this short prayer repeatedly as my mother had taught me. “Forgive me LORD, Have mercy and Praise be to God (three simple words in vernacular Tamil: “Manniyum, Irangum and Sthothiram“). Days passed on and the Lord raised me from my death bed and healed me (Philippians 2:27). Yes my beloved, whenever we praise Him wholeheartedly, He will be with us (Psalms145:18, Apostles 17:27). May be some of you who are reading this, are afflicted with some terrible disease or poverty or mental stress or agony. Our mighty God has the power and authority to redeem us from any adversity (Matthew 17:18, Mark 8:8, Luke 8:24, 4:40, and John 11:43). He visits us every day morning (Job 7:18). He gives life, breath and all things in life (Acts 17:25).
The omnipotent God (Exodus 3:14, Jeremiah 23:24 and Isaiah 66:1) came down to earth in flesh as man to remove our grief and sorrows. Let your faith rely only in our living God who gives us richly all things to enjoy (I Timothy 6:17). He is a mighty and willing God who delivers those who fear and wait upon Him for His mercy (Psalms 33:18). When we pray to Him with thanksgiving, the peace of God will embrace us (Philippians 4:6-7). My dear beloved sister, may God bless you according to Proverbs 31:30, “the woman that feareth the Lord, shall be praised.”
