It’s all about God (even if you don’t want it to be)
Ephesians Chapter 2 and verse 10, sums up the Christian Theology like an apple of Gold in a settings of silver.
For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
Science states that the possibility of you existing in this planet is quite a miracle in itself.
Dr. Ali Binazir, an author and a personal change specialist from Harvard did a calculation on the probability of our existence, he proceeded to dice in factors such as the probability of our parents meeting each other, and one sperm (from 4 trillion sperms) hitting the right egg (from 100,000 eggs) which amounted to 1 in 400 quadrillion, and many other factors. He came to a conclusion, an astronomical number. To put it in perspective, “It’s the probability of 2 million people getting together – about the population of San Diego – each to play a game of dice with trillion-sided dice. They each roll the dice, and they all come up the exact same number – say, 550,343,279,001.”
Such is the wonder of our Creator, “Who called you even before the foundation of this very world!” A statement repeated in two different epistles by two different authors.
We carry on with our lives and some seek God as a priority, while some need him when the going gets tough. But no matter how you have led your life, God has put you as his first priority.
And no, this is not a motivational, inspirational or a self-help article that tends to boost our morale and egos. This is a call to realize that God and You are inextricably linked with each other. When you sin, He inwardly burns. When you display his character in you, He rejoices.
I would like to draw an analogy from Quantum Entanglement theory. To put it simply, it’s a phenomenon that that occurs when pairs or groups of particles are generated or interact in ways such that the quantum state of each particle cannot be described independently of the others, even when the particles are separated by a large distance – instead, a quantum state must be described for the system as a whole.
You cannot be described independently of God. You do not have an identity apart from God. Apart from Jesus you can do nothing.
This is the core of the Gospel, the fundamental truth. You and I do not have a life apart from Christ.
Unless a kernel of what falls to the ground and dies, it remains only a single seed, but if it dies, it produces many seeds. Christianity is a call to Death, so that we might have Life. This is symbolized by the Baptism we undertake.
Apostle Paul writes this in a letter to the Colossian church, “For you died, and your life is not hidden with Christ in God.”
Even if we avoid him, God does not avoid us. Simone Weil, a French mystic makes this allusion, “Grace is like Gravity, we do not feel it, but we cannot exist without it.”
All of this points to one thing, that you realize Christ’s closeness to you!
May God be with you!
