Your Saviour

December 1, 2015

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. John 3:17

A few years ago, my father and I went to a river to have bath. We both enjoyed swimming in the river. Some time later, my father went out of the river and he asked me to get back to the river bank. I said I would stay in a little longer in the river. After few minutes, the water in the river began to rise up and I began to sink as I was just a beginner in swimming. I shouted, “Dad, help me!” Immediately my father jumped into the river and saved me from death.

In the same way, God has sent His only Son to save you from death. The bible tells us in Romans 3:12, All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one. Every one of us has sinned against God through our unrighteous life. We lived by our own heart’s desires and rejected God and these sins had brought death to every one of us in the world. But God did not want His people to die of sins. Instead, He wanted them to be saved from death.

In the river, I didn’t find anyone other than my father who could save me from death. Similarly, God himself decided to come to this world in the form of a man to save His children. Yes, my beloved. God is your Savior. You do not have a choice other than God who can save you from death. Because He is your creator and He knows you from the beginning. You may have committed uncountable sins against Him. But today I bring you the Good news

A Savior has been born to you. He is Christ (Luke 2:11)

Yes, 2000 years ago God came in the form of a normal man, lived in the name called Jesus. The bible tells in John 3:17

For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him.

Yes, through Jesus you will be saved. Jesus was born to save you from death.  Even today I wonder how God could humble himself to come in the form of the normal man! The kings of the world will never like to step down from their throne but Jesus stepped down from His glory and came as a normal man for the sake of mankind. He loves us very much and there are no words to describe His Love.

Today, I encourage you to taste His Love. Jesus has been born for you. He is your savior. Beloved, come to Jesus today, as He has come to this world for you.  A woman with twelve years of sickness came to Jesus and it was crowded there. So she said to herself, “if only I touch His cloak I will be healed” and she touched the edge of His cloak from behind. Jesus turned and saw her, He said, “your faith has healed you” and the woman was healed from that moment.

Many among us have celebrated Christmas; do you have the faith that Jesus is your savior? If you have this faith then you and your household will be saved from death. Come to Jesus. He will not condemn you for your sins rather He will give you the eternal life and the gift of salvation.

I wish you would celebrate this Christmas with the Gift of salvation through Jesus Christ.

Have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. Amen.
