October Promise

CHOOSE HIM

My dear brothers and sisters, it is such a joy for me to be able to talk to you through this blog!

I was recently meditating on a verse which I’ve read many times before but it struck me that time has come more than ever before for the verse to come into effect.

The verse is Mark 1:20, it says, “And immediately He called them, and they left their father Zebedee in the boat with the hired servants, and went after Him.”

Now I’m not sure how many of us would have the courage to leave our own, our family for Christ if it meant that much sacrifice to actually follow Jesus.

But dear friend, I want to remind you today the time for Christ to come is near and as said in John 4:23 that the Father is seeking for people who would truly worship Him in Spirit and truth.

Jesus says in Matthew 10: 37-39, “He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take up his cross and follow Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, he loses his life for My sake will find it.”

Yes my dear friend you are not given the authority to be worthy of Jesus unless He comes first in your heart and life. And the time has come when we are moving into a transition phase from being able to follow Jesus freely into a time when we will be persecuted for even uttering His name!

Jesus says in Luke 21:16-18, “You will be betrayed even by parents and brothers, relatives and friends; and they will put some of you to death. And you will be hated by all for My name’s sake. But not a hair of your head shall be lost.”

My dear friend, days have come when we would be persecuted by our own for following Jesus but are you still ready to say “I have decided to follow Jesus. no turning back, no turning back!”

You have no idea how much that means to Him.

Jesus says in Matthew 5:11,12, “Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake. Rejoice and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you.”

We would probably not be there to see the impact we would bring for leaving everything to follow Christ but remember every time you choose Him over anyone else or any other thing you are making heaven to rejoice and hell to regret!! Hallelujah…

My dear friend, the time is near, decide who you would choose to follow and please in such a time as this.
