Christmas Message – Happy Christmas JESUS!
I would like to share a story with you about a mother who was celebrating her 75th birthday. She had lost her husband when both her sons were very young. As a single mother, she had to fight through many different situations and also work really hard to raise both her sons and give them the best she can. She sacrificed her entire life, her time, her energy and all she had to make sure the boys feel they are loved. But as her sons grew, the younger son did not really understand the love his mother had on him. He always said that he didn’t like her and one day when he had his studies completed, he ran away from home and never got in touch with her or his brother again. Well, years passed by and she was now 75 and her eldest son did the best he can to keep his mother happy always. Her son was so proud of his mother that he wanted to make this birthday very special and spent a lot of time, energy and money in arranging a party that she would cherish for the rest of her life. All her friends from her working life, all their old neighbors and many other friends and relatives were invited to the party. The son had hired one of the most beautiful party halls in the town and made the best decoration possible. The best of it all was that the mother did not know anything about the party. The day came and she was told that he is going to take her out for a dinner with his family and children. They arrived at the place and the son proudly took his mother’s hands and led her through the hall. Lo and Behold, to her surprise there were so many people waiting to welcome her as she stepped in. It was the most wonderful time in her life to see how much her son loves her. I personally think that is the best gift to a mother and she was blessed to have such a loving son. She was so surprised to see her friends and relatives whom she had not seen for a long time. The air was filled with joy and amazement! Everyone who attended the party appreciated the son very much for all his efforts to make his mother happy. He had so many words of appreciation like “this is the best birthday party I have ever been to” “you are the best son”… The party was now over and they were returning back home and on the way back the son was so proud and very happy that he could make the day the best in his mother’s life. Now, all the son wanted was to hear the words from his mother. So he waited patiently until they got home and went to his mother’s room and gave a smile at her and said, “This is how much we all love you mom!” But her silence struck him, so he went near, sat by his mother and asked her, “What happened mom, did you not like it?” and she replied, “Where is he, your brother?”
It was many years now that he had left home, so many years that even many people forgot she had a second son. But the mother’s heart wanted to see the son who did not understand her, the son who didn’t like her. So, is Jesus our Father. It’s not that He is not proud or happy over the love you show on Him, He is indeed very proud and the happiest person but deep within His heart is an unfulfilled desire, a long awaiting moment- to have all His sons around Him. He was born for all and is waiting to be born again in the hearts of the millions who have not received His love yet! Today, this Christmas, if you would like to gift Jesus a present would you decide that you will begin to preach the gospel? Would you choose to go after the younger son and tell him that His Father is waiting to hug him? Yes, Jesus is happy for you and everything you do for Him in Church and at home. He would be very happy to see your decorations you made in Church and home, He would love to join you for the dinner at your home, but in doing everything, Would you do this also? Would you please bring Him his second son?
May the good Lord keep you and bless you and rejoice over you this Christmas!
On behalf of God’s love missions family, I would like to wish you and yours a merry Christmas!
