SAFE IN THE FATHER’S ARMS
“But now, thus says the LORD, who created you, O Jacob, And He who formed you, O Israel: ‘Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are mine.’”
Isaiah 43:1
Greetings to all my dearest friends in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ! It is such a joy for me to be writing to you through this blog!
The Lord says, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; YOU ARE MINE.”
The Lord is very jealous for you my dear friend.
As I was preparing to write this blog, I remembered an incident that happened when I was a little child, maybe four or five years old. I was holding my Pappa’s hand and walking and suddenly after a distance I looked up and realised that, it was another stranger who was holding me in his arms and taking me somewhere and my dad had stopped a few feet behind in a serious discussion with my mother and brother, hence not realising I had gone ahead. Realising the situation, I immediately threw open the stranger’s arms and ran to my dad as if I was running for my life. As soon as my father realised what had happened, he took me in his arms, hugged me and said that everything was alright, now that I was back in his arms. Even though this incident happened years ago, I’ll never be able to forget the profound relief that washed over me, knowing that I was now secure in my father’s arms.
It says in Deuteronomy 1:31, “and in the wilderness where you saw how the Lord your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.”
Psalm 103:13 says, “As a father pities his children, so the Lord pities those who fear Him.”
In Luke 15, our Lord Jesus talks about a Father who waited for his lost son to return and although it had taken many days for the son to realise his father’s love for him, it says in Luke 15:20,”…But when he (son) was still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion, and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him..” The chapter goes onto describe that the father completely ignoring the son’s apology asked his servants to put the finest robe on him, new sandals on his feet and a ring on his finger. He also held a huge feast celebrating his return!
My dearest friend, our dear Lord has different names and different shades to Himself. But when He chooses to come down on your behalf as your Father, trust me, nothing stands against His Love and nothing matches His jealousy for you! He will accomplish that which HE has promised as a Father.
Time will come when you will realise that you are so secure in the hands of your Father and that no one can snatch you out of His sovereign hands (John 10:29).
The Lord will meet you this month my friend, specially as your Father. He will carry you in His very arms and take you to your promised land! Fear not.
You only need to stand still and see His salvation. (Psalm 46:10)
Jesus loves you.
Wishing you a blessed September ahead!
With lots of love, prayers and assurance,
God’s Love Missions Family.
