God of Time!

“Known to God from of old are all His works.” Acts 15:18

Greetings to my precious family in the mighty and matchless name of our Lord Jesus Christ!

It’s always wonderful to get in touch with you all through these blogs. God has been so kind to us in the past year, we are already 10 months down and 2 to go!

To all of you who have had ups, downs, the unexpected, twists & turns, the good and the bad this year and in the past – here’s good news and in fact a promise – He knows His timing! (Acts 15:18)

Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven”. Now this verse may be so true in a broader sense of the Lord’s plans being fulfilled for the whole world as such and His Kingdom but the beauty of today’s promise is that The Lord of the whole universe who exists in a timeless zone has come so personal, that this promise is individually for you!

To make it clearer, imagine the CEO of your company decides to postpone the company’s most crucial event because of your unavailability for that specific day! Guess even in our imaginations it seems or sounds impossible.

But precisely this is exactly the extent to which the Lord wants to go to set things right in your life so at the end of it no one is lost out of His Kingdom’s purpose. And mind you brother or sister, our God is a jealous God (Deuteronomy 6:15) and would go to any extent to do it just for you!

Ecclesiastes 3:11 says, “He has made everything beautiful in it’s time. Also, He has put eternity in their hearts, except that no one can find out the work that God does from beginning to end”.

To those of you who have been waiting a long time to see His promises fulfilled, both in your life as and well as your family, friends, ministry and at large His kingdom, hang on there since the Lord is about to prove His perfect timing in everything!

Ecclesiastes 3: 14,15 says,

“I know that whatever God does,

It shall be forever.

Nothing can be added to it,

And nothing taken from it.

God does it, that men should fear before Him.

That which is has already been,

And what is to be has already been;

And God requires an account of what is past”.

This verse to me has always depicted the sovereignty of God and is a reminder that the Grand Story is already written.

I love the way Max Lucado puts it in one of his books ‘The Lord wrote His grand story, signed it with His own signature, sealed it then got up from His throne and said – Let there be light!’

There’s a lovely song Karen Peck and New River in the album ‘A Taste of Grace’ depicting Lazarus’ death and him being raised back from the dead by our Lord. The chorus goes like this:

“But You’re four days late and all hope is gone
Lord, we don’t understand why You’ve waited so long
But His way is God’s way, not yours or mine
And isn’t it great, when He’s four days late
He’s still on time”

I heard this song for the very first time in church when my dear brother was suffering from a deadly illness and at a crucial point in time when all doctors lost hope since the medicines weren’t working on him. I was able to relate fully with Martha when she cried to the Lord “If only you had been here, he would be alive!”

The last few lines of this chorus shook me to the core at the moment. It goes like ‘Isn’t it great, when He’s four days late, He’s still on time!!’ I felt my whole being wanting to jump up and shout – Hallelujah!! Just to complete the story – my brother is healed, hale and hearty today, married and both my brother and sister-in-law are in ministry, serving the Lord vehemently!

Yes, my dear people, there’s nothing impossible with our Lord! (Matthew 19:26; Luke 1:37) and there’s nobody but Him who holds time! (Psalm 31:15) And His promise for you today, this month, this year is that, all will go as planned, as planned by the Lord! Hallelujah!

Isaiah 46:9,10 says,

“Remember the former things of old,

For I am God, and there is no other;

I am God, and there is none like Me,

Declaring the end from the beginning,

And from ancient times things that are not yet done,

Saying, ‘My counsel will stand,

And I will do all My pleasure’.

My dear friend, I just want to leave you with this one promise – the God you love is a God of time and He is never too early or never too late and even if does seem He is late, He is still on time!! He is sovereign.

I wish and pray that the Lord Holy Spirit reveals to you the in depth meaning and joy as to what it is to serve this Lord of love.

Your waiting and your time, even if by your own faults is not wasted. (Joel 2:25). It’s His promise and He will keep it. All you need to do is have faith and submit wholly to The One who deserves it all.

Awaiting a glorious tomorrow with you. God bless you. Jesus loves you.

Sincerely in Him,

God’s Love Missions Family.
