Stay blessed ….

My dear young brothers and sisters in Christ, I greet you all in the precious name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

As we travel from one place to the other, we are bound to obey the traffic rules in force. Then only we can reach our destination safely. Likewise, if only we obey the commandments of God, we can ensure we reach heaven at the end of our life journey in this earth.

We will all agree that an important phase in life is “youth”. It is more important to keep us holy in God during this time. Even a small aberration will mushroom itself into a great sin enslaving you for ever. Shall we ponder for sometime on how the word of God guides us in this respect ?

¹⁸ We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

( I John 5:18)

The word of God is very clear that , as we shun evil and keep us holy, our Lord Jesus will keep the wicked devil away from us.

How can we safeguard ourselves in our youth ? We shall meditate on two things from the Bible:

⁹ Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

( Psalms 119 : 9 )

Every youth should protect himself by the word of God. Not only by reading, but also by internalizing and walking in His  ways.

As you walk in the ways of the Lord, He will bless you into a fertile tree planted by the river, yielding good fruits to all.

²³ Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.

( Proverbs 4:23)

An young Joseph kept his heart pure  and holy in God. And God raised him at the right time, making him a blessing to the whole nation and his family. This same Jesus is willing to bless you even today. As you are blessed by Jesus, living waters will flow from you to bless other people. Can you affirm your faith in Jesus today and walk in His ways ?

¹⁷ And if ye call on the Father, who without respect of persons judgeth according to every man’s work, pass the time of your sojourning here in fear:

( I Peter 1:17)

Fear the Lord, who administers justice on your every action and ensures that you keep off from sin,  in your everyday life.

 ¹⁴ As obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance:

¹⁵ But as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation

( I Peter 1: 14,15 )

Daniel in his youth decided not to be stained by the royal king’s food offered to him during his captivity. The Lord anointed him to be a prophet and governor of the kingdom. Daniel not only gained favour in the eyes of the King, but also in the heart of Lord by his obedience to God. My dear beloved youth in Christ, take a firm decision today and obey the Lord and walk in His ways. Then the Lord will abundantly bless you in everything.

• Bind your heart in the word of God and run away from evil.

• Decide today to walk in His ways to accomplish everything as per His will in our lives.

I bless you all that the Lord’s name may be glorified through your lives.

Prayer :

Dear Lord Jesus,

Please help us to guard our hearts from evil and walk in Your ways diligently everyday and in everything we do. Bless us to remain holy in Your sight for ever.
