Seek His blessings…

Hey kids!

 Greetings to you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

 I hope you are doing well by the grace of God. 

The message for this month is on the importance of putting God and His kingdom before everything else. Let me elaborate it to you with a short story. A rich man, known for living a righteous life, once called his two sons Sam and Peter, to give them their shares of his wealth as he was sick as his health was deteriorating day by day. He asked the two of them what each one would like to take for his inheritance, out of everything that he had earned. Peter said, “Father, I would love to have the vintage cars and the precious stones that you own as my inheritance, if you agree to give them to me”. The father then willingly gave him all that he asked for. Sam spoke and said, “Father, for all this time I’ve lived with you, I have always wanted to have the Bible which you read everyday. I’ve seen you read it when you were sad and it gave you joy, when you were angry you used to read it and it pacified you. It gave you peace when you were at distress. It also gave you strength to carry on when you were at your lowest. For a fact, I know that it is because of that precious book you read everyday that people look up to you. So I would love it if I get to keep your Bible for myself.” The father who least expected this answer from his son, was more than happy to agree to give him what he asked for. He said, “It is true that the Word of God has given me strength in the toughest times but not just that. Every thing I have earned until this day is because of the Bible which taught me the way in which I should go. Because you have asked me for the Bible, you also get to have everything else of my wealth which is a reward for following God’s word”. Saying so, the father gave him all his wealth along with his Bible. 

The Bible says, in Matthew 6:33, ‘But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you’. This is what Jesus has taught us. Just as Sam made the right choice in choosing the Bible and received every good thing his father had, we must also be wise in choosing God and His word over the worldly things. 

So dear kids, choose wisely and the Lord who has promised us to give all other things will bless us abundantly.
