Kings and Priests

Dear everyone greetings to you in the most precious name of our Lord JESUS CHRIST.

Genesis 1:28 says,

And God blessed them and God said unto them, “Be fruitful and multiply and replenish the earth, and subdue it, and have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.”

But man sinned and lost the dominion and became a slave to sin. But glory be to God who gave His only son JESUS CHRIST as an atonement for our sins that we will once again receive the dominion. Through the Lord Jesus we not only receive the dominion but we are blessed with a greater blessing to be Kings and Priests as Revelation 5:10 says,

“And has made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”

JESUS CHRIST, the KING OF KINGS (revelation 19:16) makes us kings and priests unto our God.

In the Old Testament, we see that the kings and priests in common went through a special process of anointing with the oil before they became a king or a priest. In the same way, we who have been chosen and called to be kings and priests also need the anointing- The anointing of the Holy Spirit.

Like Stephen, a man full of the Holy Spirit and like the Wise virgins’ lamps, always full of oil, let us be anointed kings and priests always full of ‘the Oil’- ‘The Holy Spirit’. Then we will always be ready to receive the KING OF KINGS and reign with Him and serve Him forever and ever.
