The Lord who expects (June Children’s Post)
Hey kids! I guess all of you love Jesus very much, right? Have you ever thought of doing something for Jesus but then lost hope because you are just a kid?
John 6:1-14
When Jesus lived on this earth, He did many miracles as a result of which He was always surrounded by multitudes of people. Once Jesus wanted to feed the people who had come eagerly to listen to his sermon. But as it was a desert place it was impossible to buy food for everyone gathered there. A small boy had just 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish which his mother had given him to eat. But when he knew that Jesus wanted to feed the people, he gave it to Him willingly. Jesus blessed it so that the people had enough to eat and the fragments were collected in 12 baskets. When Jesus wanted to feed the people He could have done a miracle but He waited for someone to come forward and give something they had.
Even today dear kids, it is the LORD’S desire that everyone must eat of the bread which is Christ Himself. When we, just like the boy, give even the smallest talent that we have to God and ask Him to use it for His glory, He will bless it and use it to build His Kingdom.
Isn’t that great!? So let us give ourselves and our talents to God.
God bless you.
