Youth Post – You are the salt and light!

My dear friends, it’s such a joy to be writing to you through this blog!

As I was thinking of what significance are youngsters in the current world, it seemed ironic that having seen the current situations, they are the group who can turn the world upside down but on the other hand they’re also the ones being abused the most!

It’s really sad to see how innocent youngsters are being lured into the evil desires and passions of this world, other youngsters from the poorest of hamlets cheated into jobs not offered to them and sadly some of them have never returned to their villages and were never heard off once they left!

Jesus says in Matthew 5:13,14

Considering the fact that all the youngsters we’ve talked about earlier are the same as your age, your clan and the odds of you having an equal chance of being in their place if you were born into such poor families cannot be denied.

I want to narrate to you the revival story of China.

In the early 1950s there was this wave of revival which hit China. Many were secret believers, as there was severe persecution under the then ruler of China, Mao Zedong. For 30 long years Christians were persecuted, pastors abused and Bibles burnt. But to Mao Zedong and his court’s amazement the believers only grew in number, to 20 million!! What took Mao Zedong by surprise was the growing number was not filled with just any people, it was mostly youngsters like you and I !! And they used just one weapon – prayer!! Young people who got onto their knees to pray for the revival of their country!

You and I are called to be the flavour and illumination for a generation that’s yet to know Christ.

And today Christ calls you to be the salt and light of this world before He comes.

The choice is yours to make.

Are you willing to be the One, the enemy would look at and say, “there’s nothing more I fear, than his knees!” ?

Would you be the one who will shake dominions and kingdoms?

Jesus loves you.
