Prince of Heaven! (Children’s)

January 27, 2019

My dear children!

What a joy it is for me to write to you through this blog!

Well, I’m going to narrate to you the story of a great King and His little Prince.

There once was a King who was mighty and had a huge Kingdom and a Palace that was so huge and beautiful that even if we tried to describe it in many words it wouldn’t suffice!!

The most precious of all that the King had, He considered His little Prince to be the most treasured possession. So much so that although there were so many beautiful places in His palace He wouldn’t let His Prince anywhere but kept Him at His bosom. The little Prince felt very safe and happy whenever He was at His Father’s bosom.

But alas! There came a day when the Enemy of the King visited Him to say how much the people of His kingdom had sinned and gone far away from the King’s just and good ways and therefore claim His kingdom to himself. According to the King’s rule only a perfect sacrifice could take away all sin and free His people, so they might not be slain at the Enemy’s hand.

This brought the King to a very hard decision. He had but one Person who fulfilled His criteria of being the Perfect Sacrifice and that was none other than His own little Beloved Prince. The Prince having come to know of the Enemy’s accusation and that only He had the power to save His Father’s kingdom willingly left to a far off country where they would sacrifice Him.

Long was the journey and so far away was the place that you could imagine how difficult it should’ve been for the Prince who was always at His Father’s bosom.

As we expect in any other tale that the Prince would be saved somehow and the climax would change, it did not happen – not yet. And for no fault of His, the Prince who knew no sin was sacrificed brutally.

The Enemy felt triumphant thinking the King had lost His little Prince in attempt to save His people from him.

But something would happen three days later that would prove him wrong and would silence the boast of the Enemy’s kingdom forever. For after three days, the Prince was brought back to Life. He rose from the dead, for death could not claim a person who had no sin and yet sacrificed Himself for His people.

Having achieved what He had gone for the Prince returned home triumphant having got back all of His Father’s people redeemed and saved from all the sins they’ve ever committed, to whom you and I belong.

And today we have this promise to become The Great King’s princes and princesses if we accept His little Prince’s sacrifice.

Would you say this small prayer with me?

Dear Jesus,

I know that You are the Prince of Heaven and You were at Your Father’s bosom. You came to the place where I live, to earth, to be sacrificed so I could be redeemed from my sins. I love You Lord and I partake in Your victory. Please accept me today Lord Jesus. Help me to love You, like You love me.

In Your precious name I pray. Amen.
