The Great Commission
Dear Sisters in Christ, greetings and blessings in the name of the Lord Jesus. It’s a big honor to serve the Lord. If any man says, “I’m the Field Marshal of the Indian Army”, how honorable he would be in our sight! Such a highly esteemed and exalted position that any soldier would always dream of. Well, the medal of honor or the golden stars which he would have in his army suit will soon perish. My Sisters you who are my God’s dear children, are you mindful that you have been assigned to fulfill the great commission of the Lord.
What’s this Great Commission?
“Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands.” – Proverbs 14:1
Dear Sisters are you taking serious efforts to build your house in the Lord or you are reluctant? Sisters, who are mothers, are you growing up your children in the Lord or you are passionate to see them to be topper in their academics, sports, and so on that you can boast about their fame that comes from this worldly career placement? Encouraging them in their academics is not a sin, but what about their eternal placement, and are you guiding them in the path of God’s salvation through Jesus? A mother will suffer about her children’s coming in and going out, that they should be safe in reaching home. If a mother should feel restless about the security of this mortal body then how much more she should care the immortal soul which has to reach its eternal home! Aren’t women given this great commission in their home?
Every woman is a servant of the Lord for her home!
You are responsible for your children in leading them in God’s will. God can help you only when you take a step for Him just like the parents who did so in the earlier days,
“How shall we order the child, and how shall we do unto him?” – Judges 13:12
When we submit our family into His hands and look for His counsel like this parents then the grace comes. You may be a discouraged and have a broken soul because of your present situation. You may say, “My family is an ungodly one, my children are going astray every day, My Husband mocks at me if I speak about God”. Whatsoever be the situation, Prayer brings a very big harvest! Don’t give up!
“And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not.” – Galatians 6:9
As we know, without sowing we cannot reap. So, continue to pray and never stop!
“They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.” – Psalm 126:5
