A letter from Christ

June 1, 2017

Whenever God said something of high importance to the people both in the old and the new testaments, or if it was something that had to be passed on to the next generations to read, God would always command His soldier to write down His words.

Below are just a couple of verses when once God Himself wrote and gave the tablets to Moses and another verse where God specifically commands John in the book of revelation to write His words down,

The tablets were the work of God, and the writing was the writing of God, engraved on the tablets. Exodus 32:16

Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true. Revelation 21:5

I have always wondered why Christ did not write a book of the Bible, Peter records about Him, John records about Him, but why did not Jesus put in writing an epistle- just one for the coming generations to know Him. And only now I came to know that there is a letter from Christ to this world in each generation and it is actually the most read book by most people who don’t even believe in Him. It is read by the people who do not believe in the existence of God. This letter is alive even today. There is a letter sent from Christ for this generation.

The letter I am writing about is ‘you’. You are the letter from Christ to the world you see around. 2 Corinthians 3:3 says,

And you show that you are a letter from Christ delivered by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

You are not a letter written by ink and paper but a letter written by the blood of the Lamb and by His Spirit.

You are reading this because you have already accepted your calling to serve God. But what are you going to do next? Are you still praying for His kingdom? It’s good you know you are called and someday you will serve Him, but when? When is that someday you are going to start evangelizing? Don’t tell me you are praying and waiting. No, you aren’t waiting. There is no ‘waiting’ when you are truly praying unless you were commanded by God Himself to wait. Is your waiting a commandment from God or is it your blanket of laziness? Answer this question before God.

God is still crying not speaking, He is still crying, “Who shall I send?” “Who will go for Us?”

Isaiah replied, “Here I am! Send me.”  What is your reply?

Pray, Go, Lead and Bring His people back to Him. Know that You are the letter from Christ to this generation. Don’t satisfy yourself with just praying and just attending fellowships. God needs you in His field to reap the harvest which is plentiful. Go, do something you can to save the lost. Do what you are born to do. Remember, your life is read by many.

I will let you respond to Him. Go.
