Rivers in the desert

“Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. – Isaiah 43:19

Dear in the Lord,

God Almighty promises to make rivers in the desert for you today! As you read this, know that you are not reading this by accident. God is truly going to bless you.

God is wanting to make rivers of living water flow through you. Yes, The Holy Spirit is the living water. God speaks with the prophet Isaiah that He is going to do something new for Israel. Today, the same God is speaking to you saying that He is going to do something new and make rivers in the desert in your life and in the lives of your loved ones.

Once, a young girl came to me after I finished my short speech in a classroom. With tears rolling down her eyes she said, she does not have a father and greatest tragedy was she does not know who her father was and since the time her mother was pregnant with this little girl, the people around them began to ill-treat them. She grew up with brokenness and in many places she and her mother were ill-treated. Sometimes, it is surprising to know that though there are thousands of people living just around you, still there is no one to comfort you. The little girl and her mother had no one who could really understand them, even I who was speaking about a loving God did not know her pain, but the God of all comforts, the God who is, who was and is to come, the God who became the man of sorrows filled with grief, the very Spirit of God who is often the most despised person, understood her little heart. He saw the emptiness in the girl’s heart and comforted her that day. Oh! What a joy it was for me to see that moment, the rivers flowed through that desert. The little girl’s life was changed once and for all from that moment. This is what happens when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. It will happen for you.

Today it is the same God who is speaking to you and standing by your side. “Do you not know that I am going to do it now?” was the question God asked Isaiah and He is asking it to you today.

My dear friend in the Lord, God is looking for ways to bless you and He have found one today! It is you. You are the way! God’s blessings will not only bless you but it will make you a blessing to others. All you need to do is to trust the Lord who has promised you, blindly trust Him. He is not your guide but your Father. He will never lead you in the wrong way. Praise God for your unsaved husband or your unsaved mother. He will bring them into His arms.

May the Lord guide your ways, guard your hearts and make you rivers in your deserts in Jesus name.
