In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, he was with God in the beginning, through him all things were made, without him nothing was made that has been made. In him was life and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness and darkness has not overcome it.

Political situations around the globe seem unstable, Investors are worried about their stocks, Plethora of problems abound around us. But put your hope on God. The young lions lack food and go hungry but those who seek the Lord will not lack any good thing.

Plato, in his book, describes about the Allegory of Cave, Plato has Socrates describe a gathering of people who have lived chained to the wall of a cave all of their lives, facing a blank wall. The people watch shadows projected on the wall from things passing in front of a fire behind them, and they begin to give names to these shadows. The shadows are as close as the prisoners get to viewing reality. He then explains how the philosopher is like a prisoner who is freed from the cave and comes to understand that the shadows on the wall do not make up reality at all, for he can perceive the true form of reality rather than the mere shadows seen by the prisoners.

We as well, never perceive the true forms of reality unless our lives are hid with Christ. Unless we have the light of Christ in us, we cannot escape the darkness.

All things were made through him. None of the other documented historical figures could stake a claim so high that his followers report that “All things we made through him” This is an attribute that only a God can claim.

In the beginning was the Word. The creative word, that actively and beautifully designed the entire cosmos and all the unseen marvels. The Faithful Word, that strove with mankind, planting seeds of hope and of faith on God in the darkest of minds. The redemptive Word, that came in flesh and dwelt among men and died for the world so that prisoners like us may walk free without bondages or the fear of guilt. The Powerful Word, which holds everything together. The Restorative word, that brings back lost souls like a shepherd wandering a wilderness for the lost sheep, or like a woman who lost her coin and spent her time in search of one, or like the Father waiting at the gates for his long lost son eagerly awaiting his return. And the Word, which claimed to be the Way and the Truth and the Life.

Jesus is greater than what the greatest of minds could possible comprehend. His mercy reaches beyond our deepest of sins. His love overflows to the worst of criminals and his judgements are more just the any judge. May he be your life.
