Personal Prayers

April 15, 2016

Beloved in Lord Jesus Christ,

Every prayer you pray keeps you closer to the Lord Jesus Christ. So I encourage you to pray more. Your prayers must bring answers to the needy people. Lord Jesus Christ prayed with compassion for the sick people and He healed them. Similarly you should also pray with compassion for those who are sick and let them be healed in the name of Lord Jesus Christ.

If you look at Lord Jesus Christ, He prayed early in the morning, afternoon, in the evening and at night. Why Jesus prayed this long? Is it really needed for Jesus Christ to pray for this long? Yes it was needed for Jesus to pray to fulfill God’s will in His Ministry. If it’s needed for Jesus to pray to fulfill God’s will, how much more you and I have to pray so that we fulfill God’s will in our life.

Prayer is the most powerful weapon to fulfill God’s will in your life. Jesus prayed for Himself and also prayed for the people. Yes, at first you have to pray for yourself. Your personal prayer time with God is the most important one in your daily life. Unless you pray for yourself you cannot pray for others. Jesus prayed for Himself to know God’s plan and to be filled by the Holy Spirit. In the same way you have to ask God to fill you with the Holy Spirit and to reveal His plans over your life. I encourage you to grow in your personal prayers first.

Secondly, you have to pray for others. As you get closer to the Lord Jesus, in your prayers, He will make you pray for others, the sick, the lonely ones, the ones who are discouraged and many others who are suffering. Our Lord Jesus is full of compassion and love. When you begin to inherit Him in your personal prayers, you will also move with same compassion and love that He had for His people. When you pray, the Spirit of God will do wonders among people as He did wonders through Lord Jesus Christ. The personal prayer is the base for praying for others. If you cannot pray for others then there is something wrong in your personal prayers. So always be careful in your personal prayers.

In the Bible we see that all the prophets have prayed, all the apostles have prayed and Our Lord Jesus Christ himself prayed. So Prayer is important for all of us. Pray every day to get closer to our Lord Jesus. Let us raise our hands in prayer for the Kingdom of God to come. Amen.
