I have decided
Tears rolling down your cheek, with your knees trembling and wanting to hit the floor and with your fist crushing your shirt, you cried one night, “Lord! Save me! I’m sorry for all the sins that I’ve committed.” And that night turned out to be the most peaceful night because you felt the love of God over your life and you said, “Lord! I love you.”
But one day that old sin found you again. You once thought that it was dead. But deep inside you, in the place you never knew it had its life. No tears, not on your knees, with your body feeling so weak and with your voice so dry you said to yourself, “Lord! Lord! Lord! I love you Lord! You know that I don’t want that sin anymore.” To escape the sin, you spent all your time with family. Though not yielded to the sin, there’s no peace left in you.
It happened the next day. You’ve never imagined that you’ll lose again to that old sin. That moment was like a vapor. It yielded shame, anger towards you and confusion leaving you depressed. You named yourself “Backslidden! Hypocrite!” Covering your face you thought “Lord! I’m unworthy!”
Dear Friend,
In such storm of emotions in your life, when all your decisions and will power has failed you, your soul longs for a solution, a healing and a deliverance. In the midst of the storm, here comes a whisper from the heart of Jesus,
Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28
Jesus is waiting for you with the unchanging forgiveness and unconditional love. All that you will try to overcome evil will fail you. The power that you are in need to overcome the evil lies only in Jesus Christ. Why is it, a soul searches or longs for something? Because it is not satisfied. Every soul in this world will not stay satisfied unless it finds its Maker and Savior Jesus Christ.
Your life needs these. Firstly, Jesus said, “Eat My body and drink My blood.” Yes indeed on the cross, your sins are crushed. Accept the price that God paid for you on the cross. Taste His forgiveness. As you commune with Jesus, eat and drink from Him, His peace will fill your soul and it will forever be satisfied.
And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. Galatians 5:24
Secondly, even when your decisions for Christ stumbles with your weak flesh, the word of the Lord will be your ever present strength. As you stay at the feet of Jesus everyday knowing him intimately, the words of Him will nourish your soul with living waters and your soul will flourish.
Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee. Psalms 119:11
Oh, the pure delight of a single hour, that before Thy throne I spend;
When I kneel in prayer, And with Thee, my God,
I commune as friend with friend.
–Fanny Crosby
Take a decision today to eat from His body and drink from His blood and to commune with Him in prayer.
